Equipment Manufacturer Expands Sales Staff with Two New Positions

Saline, MI – R& B Plastics Machinery is growing: An OEM of blow molding and extrusion equipment for the plastics industry, the company has added two sales people for project management and product sales, according to Al Hodge, VP Sales.

David Lloyd will serve as Project Manager to produce sales quotes, track jobs’ progress and help manage production workflow. He has over twenty years experience in automated controls, mechanical and hydraulics engineering, managing project start-ups, and identifying clients’ needs with help-desk support. He also has provided controls solutions and assisted with trouble-shooting on plant floors. Lloyd recently was employed by UBE Machinery in Ann Arbor, MI. Prior to this he was with Encoder Products Co. in several sales/client support roles. In the 1980’s he served as hydraulic engineering manager with R&B Machine Tool Co. before this division was sold and the company restructured. Lloyd has two grown children and resides in Saline with his wife Terry.

Brad Sprague, has been hired as Product Sales Manager, Extrusion and Blow Molding Systems based in the Cincinnati, OH area. He will grow the company’s extruder business plus serve blow molding accounts throughout the eastern U.S. Sprague most recently was with Xaloy Inc. selling screws for plastics manufacturing applications. He also was in sales with Merck Pharmaceuticals and held the longest tenure with Davis-Standard LLC in various applications/sales engineer roles. Sprague is charged with expanding market coverage, especially in the Midwest, a concentrated area of extrusion and blow-molding companies, Hodge said. Sprague resides with his wife Wendy and three children in Independence, KY.
