Saline, MI – R&B Plastics Machinery, a leading OEM of blow molding and extrusion equipment for the plastics industry, has hired Matthew (Matt) Gifford as Technical Project Manager to handle a full complement of engineering duties, according to Al Hodge, president. He will be based in the company’s headquarters near Ann Arbor, MI and serve customers throughout North America.

Gifford was most recently with Consolidated Container Corp. He brings a thorough understanding of blow molding operations for all types of packaging, Hodge said.

“Matt’s knowledge of machinery and plastics-manufacturing applications will help R&B expand its capabilities. His experience and contacts are valuable assets. We are pleased to have him on board,” Hodge said. Gifford has a background in engineering, plant management and multi-plant operations. He has served in various applications/engineering roles predominantly in the Ohio/Michigan area, which has a strong concentration of extrusion and blow-molding companies. Gifford will relocate to Saline from Columbus, OH with his wife Jennifer and two children.
